Customer: Any individual or entity that hires a skip from the Service Provider.
Skip: A large container used for the storage and removal of waste.
Booking: The act of reserving a skip for a specified period.

Booking and Payment

To book a skip, the Customer must provide accurate information regarding the type and size of the skip required, the duration of hire, and the delivery location. Once a booking is confirmed, a deposit may be required to secure the reservation.

Payment Terms:

Payments can be made via credit/debit card, bank transfer, or other accepted methods.
Full payment is typically required upon delivery of the skip.
All prices are subject to applicable taxes and fees unless otherwise stated.

Cancellation and Refunds

Customers may cancel their booking subject to the following conditions:

Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled delivery time will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before delivery may be subject to a cancellation fee.
No refunds will be issued for skips that have already been delivered and placed on the premises.

In the event of a cancellation, the Customer must notify Skip Hire Purley in writing or via the designated communication channels.

Use of Services

The Customer agrees to use the skip in a lawful manner and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Permitted Uses:

Household waste disposal.
Construction and renovation debris.
Garden waste removal.

Prohibited Uses:

Hazardous materials, including asbestos, chemicals, and flammable substances.
Electrical appliances containing freon or other refrigerants.
Resale or commercial storage of waste.

Any misuse of the skip may result in additional charges and potential legal action.

Liability

Skip Hire Purley is not liable for any damage to property or injury to individuals resulting from the improper use of the skip.

Customer Responsibility:

Ensuring the skip is placed in a suitable location to prevent damage to property.
Not exceeding the maximum weight capacity of the skip.
Securing the skip to prevent movement during the hire period.

In the event of damage caused by the Customer's negligence, Skip Hire Purley reserves the right to charge for repairs or replacement.

Health and Safety

Safety is paramount when using skip hire services. The Customer must adhere to the following guidelines:

Do not overload the skip beyond its specified capacity.
Ensure that no prohibited items are placed in the skip.
Maintain clear access paths to and from the skip location.
Monitor children and pets around the skip to prevent accidents.

Failure to comply with safety guidelines may result in immediate termination of the hire agreement.

Permitted and Prohibited Items

To ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards, the following items are either permitted or strictly prohibited in our skips:

Permitted Items

General household waste.
Construction rubble.
Garden organic waste.
Non-hazardous packaging materials.

Prohibited Items

Hazardous Chemicals: Including acids, solvents, and pesticides.
Electrical Appliances: Such as refrigerators, freezers, and TVs.
Asbestos-containing Materials: Due to their health risks.
Medical Waste: Including sharps and biological materials.

Attempting to dispose of prohibited items may lead to fines, additional charges, and legal action.

Access and Site Preparation

The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the delivery site is accessible for skip placement and collection.

Provide clear access routes for the delivery vehicle.
Ensure that the ground is stable and level to support the skip.
Remove any obstacles that may impede placement or removal of the skip.

Inadequate site preparation may result in additional charges or delays in service.

Changes to Terms

Skip Hire Purley reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The Customer will be notified of any significant changes, and continued use of the services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. All personal information collected during the booking process will be used solely for the purpose of providing the skip hire services. We adhere to strict data protection regulations and will not share your information with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from the use of our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in this region.
